My name is Petra; I am the creative force behind THE COLOR ALCHEMY and am delighted to welcome you here.

I grew up in a small town in the Czech Republic, but I have been living in London, United Kingdom, for the past eight years. I studied business, economy, and finance. Yet, I soon realised that it wasn't something I wanted to pursue further. To make a long story short, it took me a fair amount of time to figure out what path would be the right fit and bring me joy. One day (approximately after 20 years😄), I held a brush in my hand again and started to paint.

As a self-taught artist and surface pattern designer, I find joy in bringing my colorful visions to life through the medium of watercolor.

I adore bright colors combined with a cheerful and neat design. My creative process usually begins with an idea for a color combination. Then, I think of specific themes or motifs, followed by the concept of repeat patterns. Nature, together with the mesmerising watercolor texture, is my biggest source of inspiration for my designs.

My greatest passion is bringing art into daily life through surface pattern design.
